We undertake medium and large scale commercial projects</p><br><h3>Benefits</h3><p>Attractive salary [$78,000 - $88,000 depending on experience], interesting commercial projects, communicative team, room for growth.</p><br><h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><p>Calculate, measure and mark out sheet metal for the fabrication of commercial and residential ducting.</p><p>Cut, shape, bend, form and assemble sheet metal components in accordance with plans and specifications.</p><p>Manufacture and fabricate HVAC ducting and related sheet metal products.</p><p>Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and project specifications.</p><p>Install, fit and secure ducting systems at commercial and residential sites.</p><p>Operate sheet metal hand and power tools, including aviation snips, hand seamers, duct crimpers, duct notchers and drills.</p><p>Inspect fabricated and installed ducting to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.</p><p>Perform on-site modifications and repairs to ducting as required.</p><p>Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe and organised work environment.</p><p>Work collaboratively with supervisors, clients and other trades to complete projects efficiently and to specification.</p><br><h3>Qualification & experience</h3><p>Minimum 1 year of experience in sheet metal ducting work</p><p>Certificate III or Apprenticeship Desirable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As an Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of residential and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems. <h3>About the Role</h3><p style="text-align:justify;">The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair and commissioning of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across residential and commercial projects.This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.</p><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical plans to determine installation requirements.</li><li>Establish installation reference points and system layouts.</li><li>Drill holes, install mounting brackets, and cut, bend, and thread piping.</li><li>Install, maintain, and repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, gauges, switches, and related components.</li><li>Install and connect copper lines for refrigerants, steam, gas, compressed air, oil, and chilled water systems.</li><li>Join and connect pipes through bolting, soldering, riveting, welding, and brazing.</li><li>Conduct pressure testing and leak detection procedures.</li><li>Test and commission refrigeration and air conditioning systems.</li><li>Evacuate systems using vacuum pumps and correctly charge refrigerant.</li><li>Diagnose faults and perform repairs or replacement of defective components.</li><li>Adjust system controls and optimize equipment performance.</li><li>Complete maintenance reports and recording causes of malfunctions, corrective actions taken and works completed.</li><li>Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.</li><li>Undertake preventative and scheduled maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.</li><li>Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, builders and other trades as required.</li><li>Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and professional condition.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>AQF Certificate III with at least two years of relevant on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).</li><li>1 to 2 years of relevant experience in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and refrigerant handling procedures.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Good communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to use relevant tools, testing equipment and machinery safely and effectively.</li></ul>
