Why the role?&nbsp;To meet the needs of our growing professional indemnity practice, a fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Sydney office for an experienced Legal Consultant to support the work of our dynamic Sydney team.&nbsp;Working alongside our Sydney Principals, you will contribute legal research, analytical support and technical input across a range of insurance matters with a focus on financial lines, including complex coverage issues, directors’ and officers’ liability, and professional indemnity insurance.The role is focused on legal analysis, research, drafting and preparation of materials to support litigation and related work undertaken by our Sydney practitioners. The position does not require admission to practise law in Australia.Who are you?<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Approximately 5+ years of relevant post‑qualification experience in litigation, insurance or dispute‑related legal roles&nbsp;</li><li>Strong experience in financial lines insurance, professional indemnity and coverage matters, including policy interpretation and claims analysis&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated ability to research and analyse complex legal and factual issues and prepare clear, structured written materials&nbsp;</li><li>Experience drafting legal memoranda, summaries, reports and technical documents to support litigation and dispute strategy&nbsp;</li><li>Exposure to commercial disputes and regulatory investigations&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with senior practitioners&nbsp;</li><li>A clear and concise written communication style with strong attention to detail&nbsp;</li><li>A commercial mindset and ability to contribute to strategic problem‑solving&nbsp;</li><li>Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members and contributing to team knowledge development</li><li>A team player who can collaborate on work and has the skills to coach, mentor and develop junior staff and gains satisfaction from seeing them succeed</li></ul>&nbsp;
