Production ManagerEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary: AUD $90,000 - $95,00 per annumLocation: South Australia&nbsp;About the Role&nbsp;Our client, Mount Boothby is seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager (Manufacturing) to oversee the day-to-day operations of their pig feedmill in Tintinara South Australia.This is a key operational position responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable production of high-quality livestock feed. The successful candidate will manage production planning, staff, raw materials, feed quality, machinery, maintenance and workplace safety.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Manage the daily operations of the pig feedmill and production activities.</li><li>Plan and coordinate feed production according to livestock and farm requirements.</li><li>Supervise, train and coordinate feedmill production staff.</li><li>Monitor automated and computer-controlled feed manufacturing systems.</li><li>Ensure feed is produced according to approved formulations and quality standards.</li><li>Monitor mills, mixers, augers, conveyors, motors, batching systems and other equipment.</li><li>Identify and troubleshoot production and equipment issues.</li><li>Coordinate preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs.</li><li>Monitor grain, protein meals, additives and other raw material stocks.</li><li>Coordinate raw material ordering and deliveries.</li><li>Maintain accurate production, inventory, maintenance and quality records.</li><li>Monitor feed quality and investigate production issues or deviations.</li><li>Coordinate feed production and delivery requirements with farm staff.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised feedmill.</li><li>Monitor production costs, minimise waste and improve operational efficiency.</li><li>Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and company requirements.</li><li>Support continuous improvement across feedmill operations.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience&nbsp;<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in production management, manufacturing, feedmill operations or a closely related environment.</li><li>Previous experience supervising production staff.</li><li>Experience in an agricultural, livestock feed, food manufacturing or similar production environment is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.</li><li>Experience with automated or computer-controlled production systems.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Experience managing raw materials and production inventory.</li><li>Good understanding of quality control and production standards.</li><li>Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Good computer literacy and record-keeping abilities.</li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.</li><li>Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.</li></ul>QualificationsA relevant qualification in Manufacturing, Production Management, Engineering, Agriculture, Animal Science or a related field will be highly regarded.Experience in feed manufacturing, grain handling, livestock production, quality assurance or HACCP systems will also be advantageous.What We Offer&nbsp;<ul><li>Full-time employment with an established agricultural operation.</li><li>Competitive salary of AUD $90,000 - $95,000 per annum.</li><li>A key leadership role within a pig production and feed manufacturing environment.</li><li>Opportunity to contribute to production efficiency and continuous improvement.</li><li>Stable work environment in South Australia</li></ul>
