About the RoleThis role would be ideally suited to someone who can assist in civil engineering research, design, construction, operations and maintenance.<ul><li>We are seeking someone with experience in the building industry who has extensive knowledge of house frames, trusses and common building codes and practices – enabling them to quote/draw plans.</li><li>The candidate is required to have excellent computer skills – email correspondence, drafting quotes in word and PDF, experience with drawing in EnduroCAD, FrameCAD and AutoCAD (or similar program).</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Detailing of Steel Houses &amp; Commercial Projects in EnduroCAD Software.</li><li>Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, engineered plans, verbal instructions, and site visits.&nbsp;</li><li>Seamlessly integrating and working with management, builders, project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.</li><li>Thinking creatively and critically to support the project/sales team in the design process, to create accurate steel framing constructions.&nbsp;</li><li>Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.&nbsp;</li><li>Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site managers.</li><li>Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.</li><li>Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, subcontractors, project managers, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Seeking clarity and understanding from engineers and project managers when you are not 100% certain of something.</li><li>Organizing and uploading drawings to web-based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project and subcontractors.&nbsp;</li><li>Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects.</li></ul>Skills / Abilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Applicants should hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering at diploma level or higher, or alternatively at least 3 years of relevant work experience.</li><li>Further studies to advance skills are an advantage</li><li>Extensive knowledge of house frames, trusses&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of common Australian Building Codes and practices</li><li>Ability to read house/building plans</li><li>Excellent computer skills</li><li>Experience drawing in EnduroCAD and FrameCAD (or similar programs)</li><li>Excellent self-organisation skills</li><li>Excellent communication ability</li><li>Initiative to improve our business processes</li></ul>Successful candidate if requiring visa sponsorship will receive at least the TSMIT/CSIT of $79,500.If you feel you meet our requirements, please submit your cover letter and resume.&nbsp;
